Midtown Kitchen & Bar

Happy Hour.

the lowdown:

    • ★★★  i would go back, but not out of my way
    • $$ (~$40 for a couple drinks and apps for three-four)
    • casual
    • good for groups
    • specials every day on food & drink
    • go for happy hour
    • neighborhood: loop
    • right by clark/lake train stops

jumbo jenga

Not bad.

Came here after being unable to find a patio with a spot around 530 yesterday after work.

They have specials each day (Taco Tuesdays!) and it was decently packed but we could find a spot easily. Definitely a lounge-type feel and after-work drink crowd.

The lounge upstairs had way better vibrations so we headed up there and found a corner with the jumbo jenga. Service was great up there and never had to wait for drinks. We had some appetizers; the flatbread, calamari, and pork sliders and they were all fine. Typical bar food.

Definitely would come back for an after work drink, or five.
