garlicky green beans

another perfect summery side dish! any veggies with garlic = win.

garlicky green beans

time: 10 min | serves: 3-4

what you need:

  • 1 lb fresh green beans (i use the skinny french kind, haricots verts)
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • salt, pepper, parmesan to taste
get it done:
  • steam green beans until slightly tender – about 6-7 minutes
  • shock in cold water so they stop cooking and stay firm
  • in a large pan, melt butter over medium high heat – add garlic and cook about 2 minutes
  • transfer green beans into pan and toss evenly for about 5 minutes
  • season with salt and pepper – add parmesan and toss until it melts
  • enjoy!
