Lula Cafe

the lowdown:

    • ★★★★★ amazing.
    • $$ (~$15 a plate)
    • casual
    • neighborhood: logan square

well this was an instant favorite.

a mellow, laidback atmosphere combined with fresh, delicious food. haven’t had to wait for brunch – try their bloody mary or iced coffee. yum.

if i were you, i’d go with their specials – and ask the waiter if there’s anything you have questions about. the staff is great!

mmm specials.

this is the perfect spot to brunch for a chill start to your weekend, delicious foods, and a great environment.

the portions are perfect – they fill you up but you don’t need to be rolled home.

for those of you who don’t know, my brother just moved here. so i took him here for brunch. he enjoyed the strada, a delightful pretty little thing:

strada: roasted cauliflower, raclette, new potato, tropea onion, rosemary

i had the farrotto, something i’ve never tried before. similar to risotto with market veggies and an egg on top. it was absolutely divine.

grilled chicory farrotto

next time, i’ll elaborate some more once i try their monday night special 🙂
