tips & tricks tuesday – ramen upgrades!

so if you’re trying out some of these recipes (and i know some of you are) – here are some things that help me in the kitchen.

i’ll continue to post some helpful things on tuesdays, and if you have any – send them over!

sometimes i’m lazy/drunk and want ramen.

here’s a list of some good spicy packaged ones (i like #5).

and here’s how to get your ramen all fancy, quickly:

  • add an egg. many ways to do this, but my fave is to drop that baby in like you’re making egg drop soup. beat the egg in a small bowl and when the noodles are cooked, swirl it in!
  • vegetables. i always add in spinach before serving, but other faves are bok choy and sprouts. the more the merrier!
  • sauces. i like a bit of miso paste and fish sauce in mine.
  • meat. personally, some sautéed chicken thighs do the trick. also, sliced pork or beef if you have any around.
